There is a Chinese saying, “One disease, long life, no disease, short life.”
Often people arrive in yoga class due to some perceived misfortune, such as an injury or an illness. But, a side effect is that they have become more self aware. Their condition becomes a barometer to their existence. They often perceive that injury or illness, in hindsight, as a turning point for the better.
   One dis-ease, long life.
